IT’S less than two weeks until the 13th annual Kaniva Car and Bike Show.
It will be held at the Kaniva Recreation Reserve from 9am to 4pm on February 7.
Organised by Kaniva Lions Club, the show has been a great success in the past, and it promises to be entertaining again this year.
Gate admission is $5 per person with children primary-school age and under admitted free.
All makes and models of cars, utes, and motorbikes are invited to enter one or more of the categories for individual vehicles.
Also contested will be the categories of overall People’s Choice Car or Ute, People’s Choice for Motorbike, and People’s Choice for the feature make for this year Holden. Vehicle clubs are also catered for as there is a “best club display” award.
There are several new events this year, including one for motorbikes under 100cc, including mini and pee-wee.
There will be plenty of activities and displays for the whole family at the show.
Visitors will have the chance to test their racing skills on two racing simulators.
Food will be no problem, with a choice from the barbecue or sandwiches and salad rolls.
There will be plenty of cold drinks at the canteen, hot coffee and cappuccinos from the coffee stall, as well as the bar provided by Kaniva/Leeor United Football Club (no BYO alcohol allowed at the show).
There will be the opportunity to win a lucky prize as the local Lions club will be conducting the only raffle at the show with multiple great prizes to be won.
All proceeds of this raffle will go towards a local community project.
This family day has proven itself a popular Wimmera event for the entertainment of locals and visitors alike.
Proceeds of the day go to the Kaniva Lions’ projects and the local club is grateful for the financial support from its 42 sponsors, the loan of facilities and equipment from local groups and individuals, and the labour on the day provided by community volunteers.
If you have any enquiries or you are interested in setting up a stall or entering a vehicle, contact Eddy Rowe on 0428 922 335 or [email protected]
Come along on February 7 and enjoy a great day.
