In the fling of things

REGULAR Ultimate Frisbee is back in the swing of things in Singleton.

The game, originally from the USA, is mash upof several sports and is incredibly easy to play.

Each team aims to score points by reaching the end zone on the other side of the indoor court by throwing the frisbee to teammates.

Players can’t move while holding the frisbee; they can only pivot and have five seconds to offload before a turnover.

Any dropped frisbees are handed over to theopposition too.

The group regularly meets at the Top Shot Bowling Centre for a random match-up of teams (normally teams of four) on Thursdays at 7pm.

A gold coin donation fee is all that is required to take part in the growing sport.

Check out the Facebook page Singleton Ultimate Frisbee.

The group hopes to one day start a competitive social tournament.
